For a very long time, the art community has fought online over if digital art counts as real art; does it?
If you are not an artist then you will most likely not care about this and will be confused by the fact that anyone is fighting over this. Many people believe that drawing on a computer is easier while others can draw anything, like drawing on paper, it will take time to be able to draw well and most people don’t have a drawing pad and use a mouse to draw which makes it a lot harder to draw. Some people may be confused by the fact that there I a debate and think that artists over exaggerate everything and are so dramatic. Not only is that a stereotype but if artists do ever seem dramatic it’s because they got fed up with people asking to be drawn and thinking artists are greedy for wanting you to pay for art. If anyone gets an artist to make something for them and it’s a piece of digital art, it is very un-likely that you will have to pay less for commissioned pieces of art and the artist might have you pay less or more depending on who they are.
Many people who have artists draw for them will give them deadlines, or say something like, “Hey so I know it’s only been three days but I need the drawing by tomorrow so yah thanks,” if the art is done digitally there is a very small chance that you will get it quicker. Also please don’t give deadlines to artists, especially if they are students of any kind, or have another job.
People who believe that digital at doesn’t count as real art most likely believe that it doesn’t count because it on a computer where you can have more tools to use and simply the fact that it isn’t on paper. After hearing that some people don’t count digital art as real art might then think that they are getting fake art. It is truly up to you if you think digital art is real or not but if simply hearing that some people think it makes you think it then you are persuaded easily and I would recommend that you stay off the internet.
Artists are not all copying pictures they found online and photo shopping them together just because they do digital art, and even if they did someone would have had to make the pictures in the first place.
