The Frozen Lands

The frozen lands are places covered in ice, they are all over the world, two of them are consist of Antarctica and Greenland. This land are filled with life even though they are covered in ice. Greenland is filled with animals from big too small. One of the biggest animals is the polar bear while the smaller one is the hare. There are many other animals living there some of them are arctic wolfs and reindeer. The animals in Antarctica are seals, whales, birds, and walrus just to name a few. Leif Erickson was the one that discovered Greenland. Leif Erickson was a Viking explore and was actually the first one to discover America, he discovered it more ten a couple hundred thousand years before Christopher Columbus. Captain James Cook was the first explore that discovered Antarctica in 1773 and then discovered the Sandwich Islands in 1775. Antarctica was formed when there was a dramatic climate change and it started freezing. In Antarctica you are basically standing on mountain tops.
