Alfred Wegener discovered Pangea in 1912. It was a part of his theory about the continental drift. No really knows why Pangea was together or if it had been separated before but it must have been how the earth was formed. People wouldn’t have been able to live on Pangea because Pangea because the weather would have been really cold or dreadfully hot. The Panthalassa ocean was what surrounded Pangea. Synapsids and Sauropsids were two main animals that existed on Pangea, They kind of look like a mix of dinosaurs and lizards. There is evidence Pangea is real, when you look at the map, you see how all the continents could fit together. Antartica and India were almost connected and South Ameriaca and Africa and other places. They also found fossils on some continents that were the connected. Pangea means, the hypothetical landmass that existed when all continents were joined, from about 300 to 200 million years ago in Latin.
