At Hogwarts there are 4 different houses.
Ravenclaw valued intelligence, knowledge, curiosity, creativity and wit.
Gryffindor who valued bravery, daring, nerve, and chivalry.
Hufflepuff valued hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play.
Slytherin valued ambition, leadership, self-preservation, cunning and resourcefulness.
The houses compete to win the House Cup, which is awarded to the house with the most points overall after the school year. Each House also had its own Quidditch team that competed for the Inter-House Quidditch Cup. Sorting is chosen by the sorting hat which was created by Godric Gryffindor, it is placed on a students head and then choses what their house should be. Some famous house students are Some of the most notable members include Severus Snape, Bellatrix Lestrange (the most loyal death eater), Draco Malfoy, Tom Riddle (aka. Lord Voldemort), Harry Potter, Hermonie Granger, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Albus Dumbledore, Cedric Diggory, Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin.
