Every year the sixth grade class creates a Haunted House for the school. The first step is they get into groups, partners, or independently. Then, they make up ideas and back stories. Next, they share it with the class and they vote. Then, they split us into 4 room groups and we write down supplies we need. After, we tell the parents what supplies we need and where to get them. They mostly get it from Michael’s Craft Store, Spirit Halloween, Party City, or just supplies from home. On October 28th, half the day we prep and sometime on the weekend too. But, the ideas have to appropriate for all ages and we keep the blood and gore to a low. Also, only the students, staff, parents, and siblings are allowed in the haunted house. It is not opened to the public. Another thing is that walking through the Haunted House it takes about 5-10 minutes. Also, the teachers and parents help with the haunted house. This event doesn’t take away time from school work. We try to work on it during weekends and breaks. And lastly the haunted house is in the drama room. The room looks a little small when not decorated, but when its altogether it looks huge. I hope you enjoyed this article.
