After the bad reviews of Batman and Robin, Warner Bros needed a new Batman film to interest audiences again.

Christopher Nolan was hired to make the next Batman movie after the failure that was Batman and Robin. The movie shows Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) learning how to be Batman. Batman isn’t without his enemies who are Ra’s al ghul (Liam Neeson) and Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy).

Batman Begins was a success and reinvented Batman in film and tv. When a movie is a success there must be a sequel and Nolan was ready. In 2008 The Dark Knight came out and took the box office by storm. Heath Ledger’s Oscar winning performance as the Joker, made the movie even better. Sadly Ledger didn’t live to see the success because he passed away a few months earlier. In The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne has been Batman for a year and he must face new foes Joker (Heath Ledger) and Two Face (Aaron Eckhart).

You may be wondering “Who are Batman/ Bruce Wayne’s allies?” They are Alfred (Michael Caine), Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman), and Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes).

In the Dark Knight Rises, Batman faces his greatest enemy, Bane (Tom Hardy). Batman has new allies like  Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and John Blake (Joseph Gordan-Levitt). After Batman is broken by Bane, he rises up again to defeat Bane. After defeating Bane and the league of shadows, Bruce retires with Catwoman and Alfred. Christopher’s dream was fulfilled when he finished the trilogy and these movies will go down in history as the perfect superhero trilogy.
