Post-tropical Cyclone Matthew

On September 28, 2016 Hurricane Matthew started to form near the Windward Islands.  When the hurricane reached the Caribbean it became a

huge hurricane, it reached 160 mph winds with a category 5. On October 4th Matthew started to reach Haiti and eastern Cuba, with a category 4.

Matthew started to go to the Bahamas and then moved to the southeastern side of the United States. It moved closer to North Carolina, South

Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Matthew was declared post-tropical on October 9th when it moved from North Carolina. In Florida the flood was

measured about 9.88 feet above normal. As CNN said Matthew killed at least 17 people in the US. Hurricane Matthew is no longer a hurricane it

is a post-tropical cyclone. I chose this subject because it was a huge storm and it killed people. It is a really big storm and I hope it does not happen again.
